ZTE C88 Review

ZTE C88Even though ZTE is one of China’s largest cell phone manufacturers, most of us here in the United States aren’t aware of the brand. However, ZTE is attempting to make some inroads in the U.S. with its first-ever U.S. cell phone, the ZTE C88. The C88 is a fairly average handset and appears to be tailor-made for mainstream appeal; with a traditional flip-phone design and midrange features like a camera, music player, and stereo Bluetooth, the C88 will please most people. That said, the C88’s designated carrier is MetroPCS, … Continue Reading

LG VX8700 Review

LG VX8700

Those seeking a cheaper alternative to the LG Shine need not fear, as LG has recently introduced the just-as-shiny LG VX8700 specifically for the U.S. market. Somewhat of a successor to the LG VX8600, the LG VX8700 sports a flip phone design instead of the Shine’s slider design. While we appreciated its marvelous stainless-steel design, we were slightly disappointed with the lack of external music controls, the flat keypad, and the inconvenient location of the microSD card slot. That said, the VX8700 sports a healthy number of multimedia features … Continue Reading

LG Vu Plus Review

LG Vu Plus

When AT&T Mobile TV launched two years ago, the LG Vu was one of AT&T ’s launch devices for the live mobile TV service. The Vu had a lovely 3-inch display, and it even had a pull-out antenna to further amplify its television reception. Still, the design was getting long in the tooth, and we’re glad to see LG and AT&T finally come out with its successor, the LG Vu Plus. The Vu Plus still offers AT&T Mobile TV, but gone is the antenna, and in comes … Continue Reading

Motorola Charm Review

Motorola CharmMotorola Charm is coming! If you think all Android phones come with big beautiful touch screens, think again. The Motorola Charm is a decidedly different take on the Android smartphone, with a square touch-screen design like that of the Motorola Flipout, except that it doesn’t twist open. The Charm is also only the second phone to have a Backtrack sensor after the Motorola Backflip. Though the Backtrack works as advertised, we didn’t think it was necessary, and though we like that Motorola refined its MotoBlur interface, we thought it still … Continue Reading

LG Sentio for T-Mobile

LG SentioAs strange as it may seem, LG has never had a phone on T-Mobile, at least until the summer of 2010. Indeed, the Sentio marks LG’s first handset in T-Mobile’s stable. Aside from that accolade, don’t expect anything groundbreaking–the Sentio is strictly in midrange feature-phone territory. However, we like its smooth and svelte design, and its multimedia features work well–for the most part. Perhaps the most attractive part of the phone is that it’s very affordable–it’s only $69.99 with a new two-year contract with T-Mobile.

Design

The LG Sentio is remarkably … Continue Reading

LG dLite review

LG dLite - bubblegum pinkWant a pink phone? Check out this LG dLite – bubblegum pink.

Not too many phones can wow us these days, especially if it isn’t a tricked out smartphone or a multimedia touch-screen wonder. However, the LG dLite sparkled and dazzled its way into our inner adolescent heart. More closely resembling its Korean cousins than any of its American siblings, the dLite is utterly girly in every way, with blinking lights, pastel colors, and cartoonish wallpaper. Its features aren’t earth shattering by any means–there’s … Continue Reading

LG Prime GoPhone

LG Prime GoPhoneLG Prime, a more functional and nicer prepaid phone from AT&T. Seriously, a touchscreen smartphone is really a “first” in AT&T prepaid phone history, let’s check it out!

Prepaid phones are usually basic and no-frills, but some of the latest prepaid models have been bucking that trend. The LG Prime, for example, is the first touch-screen phone we’ve seen available on AT&T’s prepaid GoPhone network. It won’t replace a smartphone by any means, but it does have basic multimedia features like a 2.0-megapixel camera, a music player, and … Continue Reading

LG EnV Touch is Nice as a Touchscreen Phone

LG EnV Touch (Verizon Wireless)LG cellphones are always beautiful and slim, and sometimes with an stainless metal exterior feels so good. But the  EnV Touch (Verizon Wireless) looks not alike, quite different, so I guess they finally decided to focus on function for at least once. Let’s see how this worked out.

The LG EnV Touch was a surprise to us. We thought all of the EnV line of phones would be in the style of the LG EnV VX9900, the LG EnV2, and the more recent LG … Continue Reading

LG Shine cellphone Review

LG Shine, launched in January 2007 is the part of the Black Label series. The LG KE970 is truly shiny and packs serious horsepower as well. This is certainly one of LG’s advanced handsets and can also be considered the most attractive as well.

It has microSD memory card sloth, a QVGA TFT Display and a 2MP camera with auto focus and a Schneider-Kreuznach lens. The most obvious feature in the LG KE970 Shine is the all metal design with a mirror finish display. It also has scroller navigation, and an office documents viewer.

In addition to the LG KE970 Shine, there … Continue Reading
